Job Description • Red Hat is hiring Software Engineering Interns for its Global Engineering team in Pune and Bengaluru. Interns will work alongside experienced mentors on real-world software development projects while gaining practical experience in enterprise technologies. The internship offers exposure to open-source development, cloud platforms, AI, and modern software engineering practices. Roles and Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain software using Python, Golang, or similar programming languages. • Implement new features for Red Hat products. • Debug software issues and resolve defects. • Track and manage software issues throughout the development lifecycle. • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Product Management, Documentation, and Design teams. • Participate in Agile software development activities. • Work closely with mentors to enhance technical knowledge. • Contribute to projects involving RHEL, OpenShift, AI, and enterprise technologies. • Participate in code reviews and software quality improvement activities. • Learn and apply modern software engineering best practices. • Collaborate with global engineering teams on development initiatives. • Continuously improve technical and professional skills. Eligibility Criteria • Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline. • Basic understanding of software engineering concepts. • Knowledge of Python, Golang, or similar programming languages. • Good written and spoken English communication skills. • Passion for software development and open-source technologies. • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. • Must be authorized to work without current or future visa sponsorship.
