Location: Across India (Branch allocation based on bank criteria – Rural/Semi-Urban/Urban/Metro) Job Type: Apprenticeship (Fixed Term) Job Overview Union Bank of India is inviting applications for the engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in banking operations, customer service, and branch-level activities. Key Responsibilities Assist in day-to-day banking operations at the branch Support customer service activities (queries, account services, etc.) Help in documentation and backend processing Learn banking systems, compliance, and operational workflows Perform tasks assigned by branch officials during training Training & Work Conditions Training hours will be aligned with regular bank working hours (similar to clerical staff) No overtime is permitted during the apprenticeship Apprentices will work under supervision and structured training modules Leave & Holidays Eligible for holidays observed by the bank 1 casual leave per completed month of training Maximum 4 casual leaves can be taken at once Unused leaves will lapse after completion/termination Eligibility Criteria Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university Must not have previously undergone apprenticeship training in any organization Should not be currently pursuing any apprenticeship program Assessment & Certification Candidates must pass an assessment test after training completion Successful candidates will receive an Apprenticeship Certificate Conduct & Discipline Apprentices will be governed by the bank’s internal rules and disciplinary policies as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 Termination Conditions Failure to report on joining date will lead to cancellation Contract automatically ends after training period Early termination possible by either party through proper process Stipend Monthly stipend as per bank/apprenticeship guidelines (varies by notification) Apply Link You can apply through the official apprenticeship portal: https://nats.education.gov.in (OR check the careers section of Union Bank of India website for latest notification) Steps to Apply Click on Apply button below Register as a student (if not already registered) Complete your profile with education details Search for “Union Bank of India Apprentice” Apply for the relevant opening Submit required details and documents Track application status on the portal Important Notes This is not a permanent job; it is a training opportunity No guarantee of full-time employment after completion Selection process may include merit/online test/interview.
